People are prey to dysfunctional thinking while remaining fairly normal on the outside. One of these is a problem psychologists call ‘selective perception’. An example: someone tells you they have bought a new car and name a make you are unfamiliar with. Weirdly as soon as you leave the house you start noticing these cars, they are everywhere. What happened? Well they were there all along but had no significance so you just did not see them, like any of those illusions where you see one or other image. Make sure you are selecting to see the good in life.
