Hopefulness is mainly learned and is one of the key strengths that contribute to happiness. A hopeful person has the belief that future good events will outweigh bad ones. Yet pessimism is often the preferred thinking style. People claim that, if you don’t hope, then you are never disappointed! Why pay that price when you have the chance of being happy? Hopeful behavior is pretty simple: have a goal, believe you can achieve it, see the pathway to attaining it and work hard. We find what we look for in life, so look for the best and make it happen.
